What are R and S configurations for bicyclic compounds?

Bi cyclic compounds are those containing two rings. There are four possibilities by which two rings can be joined to each other
Two rings with no common carbon atoms:

Two rings with one common carbon atom

Two rings with two common carbon atoms
Two rings with more than two common carbon atoms
The R and S configurations for the bi cyclc compounds follow same rules i.e Cahn-Ingold-Prelog system of giving priority to the groups attached to the chiral carbon atom
Lets consider a bi cyclic compound

Considering the carbon atom attached to chlorine the priority would be given
Chlorine has a higher molecular mass so its given highest priority (a) and hydrogen is given least priority (d) the order (b) ans (c) is decided looking to the carbon chain attached further .
After deciding priorities the a, b, c,d are placed and least prior group is moved towards us or towards opposite side from us.
Similarly the configuration for second carbon atom can also be done  as shown below

Similarly it can be repeated for third carbon atom
Thus the configuration for the carbon atoms is
